I used a Crock Pot and 6 cups of boiling water as instructions say, then I added 1 pound of cooked hamburger meat, 8 Oz of shell noodles and a can of black beans. The result was great like my mother's goulash only more bold. I got 7 helpings, spicy, but not overpowering, just good flavor.
