Joss sticks are religious materials in East Asian and Southeast Asian, such as China, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Myanmar, Cambodia, Philippines, Korea,and Japan, used for different purposes or on different festive days.
Joss sticks are traditionally burned before a religious idol or shrine. The idea behind this practice is to send a smoke signal to the gods that offerings have been made.
